ENSEMBLE.. The Journey that’s worthwhile

Arehole Prathishtana organized 3 days work shop, ENSEMBLE, the Journey that’s worthwhile from December 22-25, 2020. The work shop was on Contemporary and theatre and Mr.Prashanth dyavar was the resource person. Total of 20 artists of Nandagokula were participated in te work shop. On 25th December, cultural fest was organized on the occasion of valedictory ceremony and Mr.Raviraj HP (Theatre director, udupi), Mr.Sudhakar Byndoor (Director, Surabhi, Byndoor and theatre artist), Mr.Prathap Hegde Marali (Member, ZP of Mandarthi) were the guests and Mr.Prashanth Udyavar was honored during the ceremony. Later, artists of Nandagokula performed NRUTHYARADHANE(Dances) and the 12 year old Yakshagana Artist Thulasi Hegde performed EKAVYAKTHI yakshagana, Vande Pramanandam. Kolagi Keshav Hegde, VIgnesh Gowda Shankar Bhagwath were the background artists.

Nandagokula Deepavali Celebration

The team, Nandagokula and its family members celebrated Deepavali celebration on 29th November 2020 at Paduva College auditorium in association with Paduva Ranga Adhyayana Kendra and Asthithva. The Honarary president of Arehole Prathishtana Mr.Harikrishna Punaroor was the president of the event and honorary advisor Mr. K C Prabhu, Rev.Fr.Alwys Serao, principal of Paduva College were the guests. Mrs. Soumya Sudhindra Rao, eminent dancer and dance teacher, inaugurated the celebration. Mr.Arush Shetty, young Yakshagana Artist, was conferred the annual award of Nandagokula Deepavali Puraskar for his achievement in the field of Yakshagana. Several cultural activities from Team Nandagokula was performed.

Arehole Prathishtana Office Inauguration

Office of Arehole Prathishtana was inaugurated with traditional pooja on the first day of the year 2021(01.01.2021). The pooja was performed by Mr.Madhukar Bhat and some inviteses are present.

Arehole Yaksha Sanje

Arehole Prathishtana organized an evening of Yakshagana on account of completing an year of yakshagana classes at a rural area named Ballebail. That evening was composed of a demonstration of traditional yakshagana practice by the students, a fulfledged yakshagana performance by Yakshabhinaya, Mangaluru. A huge audience of 500 witnessed the program.

•Arehole Prathishtana along with Nandagokula conducted a dance festival named ‘’Nrutyavarsha” that’s conducted annually since 2017. It involved thematic dance performances presented by Chaithra Kotyan and team. It was our pleasure honoring a young achiever in the field of Dance and theatre, Ms Trisha Shetty in the same ocassion.

Arehole Natakotsava’22

Arehole Pratishtana, every year conducts state level drama festival. This year, we completed seven years of Natakotsava. This year we organized this festival for six days having different teams performing for us from different part of Karnataka. Arehole Natakotsava’22 was a tri-lingual Drama festival, that included three languages, Kannada, Tulu and Konkani. The event possessed a resource person each day speaking to us about theatre, and other aspects of theatre and Art.

Arehole Prathisthana And Nandagokula organized a dance festival Named “DHRUVA” in Mangalore by one of prominent team of India Aayana Dance Company On 24th of July 2022. Dhruva is a collection of feelings like Fear, Strength, Grief, Belief, Loss and Hope. A huge audience of 600 witnessed the performance.

Nandagokula Deepavali Sambrama

Festivals where everyone celebrates together strengthen goodwill, said Srivali Rai Martal, founder of lorida Tulu Association, who was the guest speaker at the Nandagokula Deepavali celebrations organized by Arehole Prathisthana. On the same occasion, Arya R Bhat, a child prodigy from Tumkur, was presented with the Nandagokula Deepavali Puraskar, given annually by Arehole Foundation to child prodigies. Dinesh Holla spoke as the guest and appreciated the programs of Arehole Prathisthana which encourage children. Dharmadarsi Dr. Harikrishna Punaruru presided. This was followed by a performance by Nandagokula Diwali Awardee child talent Arya R Bhat and his four-year-old sister Gargi R Bhat along with interpretation of Mankuthimma’s Kagga. Then a special dance program by parents of artistes from Nandagokula and magic performance by Harin Kottari, Mudushedde. On the same occasion, Srivalli Rai Martal released the badge worn by artists of Nandagokula. The launch was designed by Dinesh Holla. The opening date of the Nandagokula Theatre School (NTS) that is being constructed at Arehole to be inaugurated at Arehole on 26th January was released on the same occasion, Likhita Shetty hosted the program, Arehole Sadashiva Rao welcomed and Prashwini S Acharya gave vote of thanks. Shweta Arehole, K. C. Prabhu, Geeta Arehole Dr. Ramakrishna Bhat, Mrs. Akhila Ramakrishna Bhat were present on the stage.
