Nandagokula, the performing wing of Arehole Partishtana was started in the year 2014, and is led by Kumari Shwetha Arehole, well known dancer and theatre artist. They perform classical, Semi classical, folk, Indian Contemporary and various other forms of dance. Team Nandagokula is actively engaged in producing and performing plays and dance dramas directed by the wellknown directors of the country. This team is one of the leading performing team of the state. Helping the needy in society, helping the poor for education, promoting art and culture are the main objectives of Arehole Prathishtana and is continuously organizing dance, theatre and literature festivals like Arehole Dibbana, Arehole Natakotsava, Arehole Sahithya Sourabha, NruthyaVarsha etc. All programs are organized in state level. Prathishtana also encourages other artists through honoring the achievers of various fields. ‘Arehole Rangabhoomi Award, (for theatre achievers), ‘Sumakrishna Award’ (for achievers in the field of Yakshagana), ‘Nandagokula Deepavali Award’ (for young achievers), ‘Nandagokula Nruthyavisharada award’ (for the achievers in the field of Dance), ‘Harikrishna Punaroor award’ (for the achievers in the field of journalism literature, social activities) and ‘Saraswathi Adarsha Shikshaka award’ (for the best teachers) are some of the awards given by Arehole Pratishtana. In addition, Arehole Prathishtana upgraded Team Nandagokula in the theater and dance departments and built the “Nandagokula Theatre School” in Arehole, Byndoor Taluk, Udupi district, Karnataka State.
